We are proud to officially welcome Melanie Bala as the Mbala Mpahla Brand Ambassador—a woman whose voice, style, and lived experience embody everything our brand stands for.
With an impressive career spanning over 30 years in television and radio, Melanie is a respected and trusted broadcaster who continues to connect meaningfully with audiences across South Africa. She is currently heard on Metro FM’s The Midday Linkup (12pm–3pm), alongside Lerato Kganyago and Proverb, where she serves as a contributor and news anchor—bringing insight, authenticity, and relevance to everyday conversations.
She has built a strong and engaged digital community by speaking openly—and often humorously—about the things that matter most to her: motherhood, pop culture, current affairs, mental health, wellness, and travel. Her voice is relatable, grounded, and refreshingly real—qualities that align seamlessly with the Mbala Mpahla woman.
A passionate traveller and storyteller, Melanie has explored extensively across the continent, sharing her journeys through #MellaTravels, where her love for Africa, culture, and photography comes to life. Her ability to capture beauty, movement, and emotion mirrors Mbala Mpahla’s commitment to clothing that tells a story—crafted with intention and worn with confidence.
Melanie is also a qualified 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher (YA) and an entrepreneur, deeply rooted in wellness, balance, and mindful living. These values resonate strongly with our brand philosophy: clothing designed for women who move through life with purpose, grace, and self-awareness.
